The individual posts aren't lining up in inline rows anymore, but it's a small price to pay for only having to update the xml directly instead of also copying and pasting it all over to 'blog.html', to a separate file. Shoutout to sandwich for helping me out so much, xsl can be confusing. And now that the blog is working (and the CSS updated), I can move on to the second and third paragraphs in my to-do list (the previous post). The thing is, it's easier to fix problems early on. I'm going to redo a fair bit of the CSS so it's all in one file instead of having a main file and overriding some styles in the individual HTML pages. I'm going to make the entire layout look less bland by using photos as backgrounds instead of just an SVG pattern over a color.
